The Laboratory of

Signaling and transcriptional control of stem cell fate

We are passionate about understanding how nutrients and environmental cues pattern our genome to control the behavior of our cells. Using a variety of approaches modern biology has to offer, we aim to uncover the mechanistic innards of the cellular machinery that controls its behavior and physiology. Ultimately, we want to translate our knowledge to develop the next generation of treatment options for many of the human diseases.

We use adult, embryonic, and induced Pluripotent (iP) stem cells and mice models to connect biochemical and molecular pathways with mammalian physiology.
